The pandemic has meant that there are many friends or relations we haven’t seen in some time. Birthdays, anniversaries, good times and bad have resulted in many missed and important opportunities to get together. Travel re-connects us with loved ones, reignites fond memories and allows us to simply enjoy precious time together.
Golden Ireland’s “Le Chéile Arís” (Together Again) competition wants to reconnect you with a long lost friend or relative and send you on a fabulous night away. You could be in with a chance to win an overnight stay in the luxurious four star Great Southern Hotel Killarney with your friend, and enjoy dinner in the hotel’s classic Garden Room Restaurant which showcases the best tastes of the Kerry countryside, all under the great gilded dome of the original stunning Victorian dining room.
Built in 1854 with the remit to ‘take the guest’s breath away’, the Great Southern still stands proudly as Killarney’s Premier Historic Hotel and is the perfect base from which to explore the mountains and lakes of Killarney, Ring of Kerry or the Wild Atlantic Way, and is conveniently located beside the train and bus station.
Prize Details:
Overnight midweek stay in the four star Great Southern Hotel Killarney on a twin room or single room basis.
Dinner for two in in the Garden Room Restaurant.
How to Enter:
Simply tell us in your own words who you would like to nominate for this prize and why – it could be your friend, your sister, your brother or cousin – the choice is yours!
Maximum of 250 words.
We know that there are lots of poets out there, so if a poem is your preferred nomination format, please submit.

Terms and Conditions
– Entry into the competition is deemed full and unconditional acceptance of these terms and conditions.
– In order to enter the competition, entrants must enter a valid email address and phone number and by doing so are agreeing to receive regular email communications from Golden Ireland in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
– Should entrants no longer wish to receive emails, they may unsubscribe from these newsletters at any time.
– Golden Ireland does not sell or share your data with any other company.
– The competition is open to residents of Ireland and the UK aged 50 years or over, except employees of Golden Ireland and their families, or anyone else professionally associated with the promoter.
– The competition closes on 11th April 2022 at 11.59pm (GMT)
– Lost, late, incomplete or incomprehensible entries or those containing offensive content will be deemed invalid. The promoter is not responsible for any technical issues (or other), which impede an entry being submitted correctly and/or in full. Only one entry per unique valid email address is eligible. Golden Ireland’s decision to disqualify an entry is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
– The judge’s decision is final.
– The prize winner will be notified by email or telephone within 7 working days.
– In the event that the prize notification email is returned as undeliverable or should the winner be unable to accept their prize within 7 working days of being notified, it will be deemed that the winner has forfeited their prize and Golden Ireland reserves the right to award the prize to an alternative winner drawn from all remaining eligible entries.
– The prize is for a one night break for two people with breakfast and a 3 course meal on one evening. Available Sunday – Thursday. Subject to availability.
– The prize is non-refundable and non-transferable, and no cash alternative will be offered.
– The prize winner may be invited to be part of any media or publicity surrounding this competition.
