Stauntons on The Green
83 St. Stephen's Green South, Dublin 2, D02 HD86
Stauntons on the Green, a home and home-from-home to some of Ireland’s best-known movers and shakers over the last 250 years. Past residents include poet, Gerald Manley Hopkins and prominent Irish politician, Henry Grattan who fought for the freedom of the Irish parliament in the late 18th Century.
Steeped in history and culture, Stauntons on the Green is one of Dublin’s best-known boutique townhouses, comprised of three interlinked period buildings. The bedrooms and common areas have retained their original Georgian features including fireplaces with marble mantels and artful cornicing and coving, all carefully restored.
Each of its 64 bedrooms have been lovingly redecorated, using elegant yet comfortable furniture reflecting the style of the building and soothing colour schemes. Located beside the Museum of Literature and with its own private garden, Stauntons on the Green is the perfect place to enjoy an oasis of calm in the heart of the city.
