Butler Gallery offers a beautiful reflective space where you can stroll through airy, light-filled gallery rooms and become immersed in a world of colour, emotion, and vibrancy. You will enjoy an eminent permanent collection of 19th and 20th century Irish and international art which coexists with cutting edge contemporary work by national and emerging artists.
Highlights include artworks by Paul Henry, Louis le Brocquy, Mainie Jellett, Patrick Scott and Evie Hone to renowned Kilkenny artist Tony O’Malley; the gallery gives a real insight into the Irish art scene from the mid-19th century to the present day.
The café provides tasty treats and lunch daily with an extensive outdoor seating area in the walled garden. Butler Gallery is an experience not to be missed.
General admission is free. Self-Guided tours are free. The building is wheelchair accessible. Group rates and bespoke options are available for private tours, please enquire.
