My mother of 83 years of age is on warfarin after experiencing TIA's. She finds that she is extremely tired all the time (not surprising at her age, I suppose). Does anybody know if warfarin causes extreme fatigue and should she take supplements??
Thanks

Warfarin can affect people differently, in younger people it can have the opposite effect, also there are many causes of TIA's, like high or low blood pressure, partially blocked or swollen arteries etc, but the most likely cause of the tiredness could also be the cause of the TIA's If she is eating OK it's unlikely supplements would be of any benefit.
This is not intended as medical advice, just my opinion, based on personal experience, hope it's of some use...

Hi there
I've heard that warfarin can cause a person to become anaemic which might explain the fatigue. Sounds like your mother should see her Doctor to have it properly checked out.
