HRT & Hot Flushes

Hi folks

I was on HRT for over 15 years and I came off it a few months ago but the hot flushes are really bad. Has anyone any advice that gets rid of these as I even tried going back onto the HRT to alleviate them which it did, however my GP would like me to consider giving up the HRT [am thinking about it] I have tried Oil of Evening Primrose but nothing seems to help

Any advise would be much appreciated.
Many thanks

Hi Eveyln

I know exactly what your're going through and it aint easy!!

With me my GP weaned me off slowly going from a high dosage to a lower dosage. I was on HRT since 1990. After a year I was on one tablet a day and felt reasonably 'normal.' I still get some hot flushes during the day and several at night. There are many herbal remedies that I've tried over the years but none of them have worked for me. I know the potential risks of hrt but because my symptoms are so awful I am still prepared to take them if I need them.

Exercise and diet are very important and with me I had to make a lot of changes. I now feel pretty good and think its under control but I dont think it will ever really go away - you just have to learn to deal with it.

Hi ladies

A friend of nine in the UK  told me about a magnet called Ladycare by magnopulse .

I bought it online and have been wearing it for many months .

it relieves all symptons of the menopuse and i have not had a hot flush since i started wearing it .

Hope this helps.
