Dundrum House Hotel, Cashel, Co Tipperary

We recently attended a wedding in Dundrum House Hotel which is just outside Cashel in Co Tipperary. We stayed Friday and Saturday night. Unfortunately for us our room was located directly above the wedding reception so we got to hear a very loud band on Friday night – even with the window closed we could make out the lyrics which is not very conducive to a good night’s sleep! Luckily the band finished reasonably early and having made our complaints the next morning, we were moved to another, quieter part of the hotel.

The hotel is rather old world which is both good and bad – it could do with a bit of a revamp, especially the bedrooms which are outdated but there is a certain charm to the place. They have a great golf course and their rates are pretty reasonable. We thoroughly enjoyed the wedding and the food was excellent as was the service.
