The M2/A6 runs directly from Belfast to L’Derry.
Exit routes are clearly marked from the city to the M2 motorway north
From the M2 you will follow signs for the A6 (signposted Londonderry). You will pass through Glenshane Pass, Dungiven and Drumahoe before entering L’Derry.
At the Altnagelvin roundabout take 3rd exit signposted City Centre, (Tescos located on your left hand side) continue forward on the dual carriage way towards Waterside Caw roundabout. You will pass through two smaller roundabouts before you reach the Caw Roundabout. Continue straight until you arrive at the Caw Roundabout. Stay in the left hand lane and take the 2nd exit on to a slip road. A Residential area, Waterfoot Park is located here and you will see The Waterfoot Hotel is located on the immediate right.
From Dublin:
Distance: 145 miles / 232 km
Time: 3.5 hours approx
From Dublin take the N2 north to Derry, (Derry is clearly signposted on the M50).
Travel to Slane, Ardee, Carrickmacross, Castleblaney, Monaghan, and into Northern Ireland at Aughnacloy.
From there travel on the A5 to Omagh and Strabane you will pass through New Buildings before entering L’Derry.
You will arrive at junction for Craigavon Bridge L’Derry, continue forward to Duke Street A2.
At Duke Street roundabout take 2nd exit on to Waterside link (sign posted for Limavady & Coleraine)
At Waterside roundabout take 1st exit on to King St, turn left at traffic signals onto A2 (signposted Limavady & Coleraine)
At Caw roundabout take 1st exit to Waterfoot Hotel.
From Galway:
Distance: Approx 160 miles / 256 km
Time: 3.5 /4 hours approx
From Galway take the N17 north to Derry, & (Sligo).
Travel to Clairemorris, Knock, Sligo.
From Sligo follow the N15 North (Lifford)
Travel passed Bundoran, Donegal Town, Ballyshannon
At Ballybofey / Stranolar take N13 to Letterkenny.
On approach to Letterkenny down steep hill to Dry Arch Roundabout. Turn right at roundabout following signs to Derry
Pass Newtowncunningham and arrive at Bridgend.
From Bridgend cross border into Northern Ireland
Follow signs for airport and Foyle Bridge, cross the Foyle Bridge
At the Caw roundabout take the 3rd exit.
Hotel is located on the Caw Roundabout and has ample free car parking.

Translink/Ulsterbus operates a regular bus service throughout Northern Ireland. The bus terminal is located on Foyle Street and has a regular local transfer to the Waterside. The nearest bus stop is a 2 minute walk from the hotel.
